EDVenture Children's Museum
The EdVenture children's museum on Gervais Streeet in Downtown Columbia is the biggest children's museum in the South. It is a perfect place for an outing with the family. The 67,000 square foot museum includes eight permanent galleries, in addition to traveling exhibits. EdVenture is a fun, educational opportunity for children (those 12 or under or those kids at heart ) to explore subjects such as social studies, anatomy, and natural sciences.

THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE MUSEUM
The South Carolina State Museum provides a variety of programs for all ages including treveling exhibits, birthday parties, and summer programs. The Museum also has history re-enactments and lectures by scholars. The exhibits are constantly changing offering a variety of cultural history, collections of art, natural history and science. The building that the Museum calls home is the biggest artifact, dating back to 1893.
